About Cortex

What this platform is and why it exists.

What This Does

Cortex is an internal market intelligence dashboard for Cognizant Australia's Consulting Team. It aggregates activity across tracked accounts — tender notices, contract awards, executive changes, strategic announcements, job postings — and surfaces everything in a single feed.

It also tracks competitor positioning, giving the Consulting Team a clear view of where Accenture, Deloitte, EY, PwC, and others are moving in the Australian market.

What's in a Name?

AccountsTendersCompetitorsContract AwardsExecutive ChangesStrategic UpdatesCortexby Cognizant

Cortex is a context network for market intelligence. The name makes this explicit on two levels.

In our brains, our cerebral cortex doesn't work as a single processor — it is a network of connections receiving inputs from different sources, forming relationships between them, and producing integrated judgements. Cortex works the same way: data from AusTender, Gemini AI, and the Consulting Team arrives from different directions, and Cortex connects it, surfaces patterns across accounts, and turns raw market activity into something we can act on.

The second layer is the suffix: -tex, as in context. Context is what separates an intelligence feed from a list of news items — who the account is, what is happening in their environment, and what it means for Cognizant's relationship with them.
